Sports massage is the manipulation of the soft tissues of the body i.e. muscles, connective tissue/fascia, tendons, ligaments and joints. Soft tissue therapy uses advanced sports massage and deep tissue techniques to help alleviate discomfort.

Pain can be caused by sports injuries, everyday and occupational stresses, muscular over-use and many chronic pain conditions all of which can be helped with sports massage. The benefits of sports massage are listed below and can be achieved for everyone whatever the cause of pain.

There is a myth that sports massage is painful. If done correctly it is not painful or bruising. Deep tissues can be treated and manipulated with minimal discomfort. As I access the deeper structures that may be causing the imbalances or pain there may be discomfort the following day but it is temporary as the body adapts to its manipulations.
